NEW JERSEY AG SETS EXAMPLE FOR THE NATION
MINUTEMEN APPLAUD EFFORTS TO ABOLISH SANCTUARY CITIES THROUGHOUT THE GARDEN STATE
PHOENIX, AZ-The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) applauds the efforts of New Jersey's Attorney General, Anne Milgram who on Wednesday set a directive throughout the Garden State to abolish the policies of sanctuary cities. Sanctuary cities typically refuse to notify federal authorities regarding the presence of illegal aliens within their communities, a policy that recently led to the savage and egregious violence apparently perpetrated by an illegal alien in Newark, New Jersey.
"In the name of public safety and common sense, I applaud the efforts of Ms. Milgram," states Chris Simcox. "I hope this precedent creates a domino effect for governors, attorneys general and mayors throughout our nation."
MCDC believes that the sanctuary city policies implemented in Newark, Phoenix, Chicago, New York, San Francisco and other municipalities sets a policy for willful neglect on the part of elected officials who have a sworn duty to "promote the general welfare." A secured border and strict enforcement of all laws will help to deter such violence by illegal aliens.
Simcox continues, "Ms. Milgram's new directive will not bring back the innocent young murder victims of Newark, comfort the injured victims or their families. It is however, the right step toward finally addressing the harms done by tolerating a porous border and poor enforcement of our immigration laws."
