Ozarks Chapter Update

The Ozarks chapter of the MCDC meetings take place on the second Tuesday of everymonth. Our next meeting is July 10, 2007 at 1800hrs. We meet at the Library Center on South Campbell, south of the James River Freeway, in Springfield, MO.

In other news our chapter, led by Membership Team Leader Chuck Smith, will be hosting a Recruitment / Informational Booth at the Ozarks Empire Fair from July 27, 2007 until August 5th, 2007. Our Legislative Action Team, led by Team Leader Bryan Dinsmore, is working with the Springfield City Council to pass by the end of August a local ordinance to punish employer's who knowingly hire illegal or un-documented workers. Our Operations Team, led by Team Leader Brandon Peterson, has successfully verified & confirmed information concerning the unlawful employment of illegal's and passed this information onto ICE for the appropriate follow-up.

Our chapter has also initiated publication of a monthly news-letter, edited by Dan Dunaway, established a Presentation Team, led by Col. Bill Groninger,(U.S.A.F. Ret.) responsible for using a power point display to educate the public and other civic groups about the problems caused by illegals and the cost to our social services, law enforcement, & healthcare systems, and we've begun making preparations to introduce MCDC into Southern Missouri / Northern Arkansas due to an overwhelming need as expressed by their citizens. Ozarks MCDC is uniquely qualified, amongst all other civic groups, to meet those needs! Finally, we've begun making the necessary preparations to train & equip teams to travel to, and support Border Watch Operations. This training will take place over the next several months with completion anticipated for the fall.
